New Horizons in 1:5th scale

Been busy for a while. I was commissioned by a NJ Science Center to build a New Horizons (NH) probe. The only instructions I had was to make it as close to 24" as possible. Naturally I jumped at the project.
The first thing I had to do was to get large sized plans of NH. I took the .pdf blue prints from the New Horizons site, printed them out and took them to my local Staples. what I got back fit the bill perfectly --

NH blueprint with an 18" ruler for scale.

Mars of Opposition

Just a little heads up that if anyone reading this is in the NY/NJ area on March 3rd. My astronomy club, The NJAA will be having an open house timed with the opposition of Mars. while it's not a great opposition, it will be a very good one. Feature may be seen as well as one of the polar caps. Very Cool. Click the above link for more info.

Astronomy - Finding Uranus

Yeah, I like astronomy too, tho I haven't been doing much since my son was born. I was out the other night doing a sky tour for people at the NJAA Observatory and we looked at Uranus. In another forum there was guys having a hard time finding the planet so I made these maps.
The first map is a wide shot showing it's position.
The 2nd. is a closeup of where it is in the little asteriem.
The 3rd is where it will be in Nov. Good luck
